Judith Harris joined the U.S. Travel Association as an administrative assistant of member services in 1991. She has remained in the member services department and was promoted to coordinator in 1993, manager in 1994, director in 2001, senior director in 2011 and her current position of vice president in 2018.
Harris oversees the day-to-day membership operations at U.S. Travel, including directing all aspects of membership: recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and evaluation of services. She develops plans and implements new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals. She has also administered the Foundation Scholarship program since 1993.
Prior to joining U.S. Travel, Harris worked for the Chemical Manufacturers Association (now known as the American Chemistry Council) as an administrative assistant from 1990-1991. She received a bachelor’s degree in management from Louisiana State University.
