U.S. Travel Urges Swift Congressional Action on Federal Disaster Relief

U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Geoff Freeman issued the following statement on the White House request to Congress to pass emergency funding for communities devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton and other disasters:
"Now that the White House has officially requested $100 billion in disaster aid, it is time for Congress to act with urgency. Every day federal aid is delayed, American communities suffer. Travel is an economic powerhouse for these communities and U.S. Travel is dedicated to ensuring they receive the federal aid needed to get back on their feet and open for business.”
