Senator Ted Budd, a fierce travel champion, joined us to share the impact of travel in North Carolina. The industry added $35.6 billion to the state's economy in 2023, and North Carolina ranks as the 5th most visited state in the U.S.
Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem, Danté Anderson, explained the essential role travel plays in her community, driving business revenue and supporting 138,000 jobs.
Leaders from NASCAR, Johnson and Wales University and Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority provided insights into how the city continues to innovate its attractions and experiences, like the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the newly reopened Sullenberger Aviation Museum.
A fireside chat with American Airlines' Steve Neuman offered an inside perspective on the airline's cutting-edge initiatives, which we saw firsthand during a tour of Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Neuman discussed harnessing machine learning technologies like Smart Gating to streamline the travel experience and the strategic value of having American’s second-largest hub at CLT—one of the world's most connected airports.
