Barnes to House Subcommittee: Resources, Stimulus, Planning and Communication Needed to Resume Air Travel

On Thursday, U.S. Travel Association Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Policy Tori Emerson Barnes testified before the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security, Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security in a hearing titled, “Climbing Again: Stakeholder Views on Resuming Air Travel in the COVID-19 Era.” Barnes spoke on the economic hardship the COVID-19 pandemic has inflicted on the travel industry, and steps Congress can take to protect travelers’ health and increase consumer confidence across the air travel system.
